Emelita Sindac Dalangin holds a special place in Igloo Himalaya Treks’ story. After completing her first Everest Base Camp trek alongside Surya Lama, she inspired him to establish his own travel company.
Throughout their ascent into the high Himalayas—navigating acclimatization at Namche Bazaar, visiting Tengboche Monastery, and reaching the foot of Mount Everest—Emelita witnessed firsthand Surya's extraordinary dedication to guest safety, authentic cultural respect, and ethical porter treatment. Her encouragement and belief in his leadership served as the spark that brought Igloo Himalaya Treks into existence.
Today, she represents Igloo Himalaya Treks in the Philippines, sharing her deep connection with Nepal, guiding Filipino adventurers through preparation and gear requirements, and promoting the majestic culture and mountains of the Himalayas.

Completed the classic 130km journey to Everest Base Camp with Surya Lama. Successfully acclimatized across Namche, Dingboche, and Lobuche, experiencing high-altitude challenges and Himalayan camaraderie firsthand.
